Derek Imes has been involved with the sport of rugby for 18 years. Like Terry Kilbane, he began his career playing at St. Edward High School when he was a sophomore. He played three years of high school rugby before moving on to play for the Bowling Green State University Men’s Rugby team. After an high-scoring and successful career with BGSU, Derek returned to Cleveland to play with the Rovers. While he was with that club, he held a number of positions and offices, including Captain and Treasurer. Derek was with the Rovers for nine years before the establishment of the Cleveland Crusaders RFC.
With the new club, Derek has been elected to the position of Treasurer. With his track record of proven success and given the fact that he has been the architect of numerous successful partnerships in the past, Derek was a natural selection for this position.
